About Us

DJS Helios is the official electric solar car team from Dwarkadas. J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai. The team consists of a mix of 45 students from different departments. We have been Asia's top solar car team and is among the best teams in the world. It all began in 2016 as a final year project by few daring fourth-year engineering students and has blossomed into Mumbai's first student-run, non-profit organization that designs and manufactures solar-powered vehicles. We take pride in the fact that we are the first team ever holding both ESVC and IASC Champions title at the same time.

Our vision

The idea of a better future starts with an initiative and we are doing our bit. The progeny of the founding team envisioned a world powered by green energy where the use of renewable resources would reduce dependency on exhaustible ones. Keeping that in mind our vision for the team is:
- To introduce passionate engineers to the world of solar energy & Its applications in the automotive sector
- To Design & Fabricate a highly efficient, fully autonomous & eco-friendly electric Solar Vehicle
- To be vocal advocates of renewable energy and technology and to promote its use
- To make a car that is economically sound and environmentally sustainable
